Teacher of English, High School A High School English teacher is required to teach within Grades 9-12. In grades 9 and 10, our classes study a homespun English curriculum, rooted in the IB philosophy and learner profile, that has been designed to prepare them for the demands of IB and / or for their future studies in university, both in Turkey and abroad. Our students are assessed in English as a first language and the department uses the study of Literature as a springboard to teach and assess language skills. As our high school students may have entered the school in kindergarten, grade 1, grade 5 or grade 9, we have students of varying English abilities and therefore differentiate our instruction to accommodate the needs of our diverse learners. The position will be to teach several different levels within the high school English program and may include teaching IB English A: Language and Literature. The school delivers the bilingual qualification at IB Diploma level and our students choose the IB or Turkish national curriculum track when they enter 11th grade.
