Position: Teacher of English Location: Croydon, Surrey Required for: 1st September 2026 Contract: Permanent Salary: MPS/UPS including Outer London Allowance Closing Date: Monday 18th May 2026, at 9:00am Interview Date: Thursday 21st May 2026 We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative English teacher with a passion for their subject and a commitment to high quality teaching; they will have excellent subject knowledge and commitment to continually develop it. Each member of our department is seen as an integral part of the team, working together sharing ideas and developing resources cohesively. The successful candidate will have the capacity to bring innovative ideas to the classroom and show a strong record of raising student attainment through their teaching. The department believe in mixed ability teaching at all levels from KS3 up to KS5. We have a history of strong examination results at GCSE and A Level in both English Language and English Literature. For the past three years, the Department has been focusing on developing an innovative KS3 curriculum that prepares pupils for the demands of the strengthened GCSE and broadens their understan
