Teacher of Economics

The College of Richard Collyer in Horsham, ‘Collyer’s’, is one of the leading sixth form colleges in the country and the no.1 choice for A Levels in West Sussex. We are seeking a well-qualified Economics specialist to deliver A Level Economics. Qualifications: A good degree in a relevant subject and a teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DET). Experience: Current or recent experience of teaching A Level Economics or a closely related subject is desirable (or the willingness to upskill). Applications are welcomed from ECTs. A member of the Science Faculty, the Economics department has grown significantly this year and is seeking a new member of the team to deliver A Level Economics. The Economics teachers form a proactive and supportive team, collaboratively developing resources and techniques. Curriculum resources are of a high standard and shared among staff. The subject area has the advantage of a Library & Curriculum Support Officer who helps coordinate and compile learning resources. Members of the teaching staff are also personal tutors. Tutors monitor progress and offer support and guidance to 25 students. The ability to contribute to the enrichment programme would be welcome.
