This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and engage students as a Teacher of Drama at Luckley House School. With access to a dedicated theatre and classrooms, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality Drama education across Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A-level, while contributing to the school’s vibrant culture of creativity and performance. Whether you’re an experienced practitioner or looking to take the next step in your teaching career, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and collaborative environment. What you'll be doing: Teaching Drama across Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A-level, using AQA specifications. Planning and delivering engaging lessons that foster confidence, creativity, and resilience in students. Collaborating with the Director of Drama and peripatetic Drama teachers to support pupils through external qualifications. Organising and directing large-scale productions, showcases, and performances. Monitoring, assessing, and reporting on student progress, ensuring continuity and progression in learning. Supporting the pastoral care of students as a Form Tutor, including monitoring attendance, behaviour, and academic progress. Contributing to the school’s enrichment programme and extra-curricular activities, including theatre trips and clubs. What we're looking for: Essential: A good honours degree in Drama or a related subject. PGCE or equivalent qualification with QTS. Experience teaching Drama up to and including A-level. A strong record of directing school productions or performances. Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.
