Teacher of Design Technology

We are currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Teacher of Design Technology to join our Design and Technology department. This position focuses on teaching Key Stage 3 and 4 students and offers an excellent opportunity for those starting their teaching career or looking to develop their skills in this subject area. Position: Teacher of Design Technology Department: Design and Technology Education Stage: Secondary Responsibilities: - Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in Design Technology. - Support student learning by creating a positive classroom environment. - Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback. - Collaborate with colleagues within the department to develop curriculum resources. - Contribute to extracurricular activities related to design technology where possible. Skills and Qualifications: - A relevant degree or qualification in Design Technology or a related field is desirable but not essential. - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred; however, applications from newly qualified teachers or those working towards QTS will be considered. - Strong communication skills with the ability to engage young learners effectively. - Basic knowledge of design technology principles. - Willingness to learn, adapt, and develop professionally within the role.
