Teacher of Design

Malvern College Tokyo is excited to announce an opportunity for talented, enthusiastic, and energetic individuals to join our team starting in January 2027. The Teacher of Design will primarily teach Design within the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP), with opportunities to teach Design within the Diploma Programme (DP) according to the experience, qualifications and interests of the successful candidate. Design at Malvern College Tokyo seeks to develop creative, technically capable and socially responsible problem-solvers who understand how thoughtful design can improve people's lives. Through inquiry, creativity and purposeful innovation, pupils are encouraged to investigate authentic problems, develop imaginative solutions and communicate their thinking through iterative design processes. This position will be expected to have the flexibility to teach and support MYP and DP pupils as required. As a Malvern College teacher the postholder will play a full role in the school’s curricular, co-curricular and pastoral programmes.
