Teacher of Design & Technology

Thank you for your interest in the Teacher of Design & Technology post at Haberdashers' Abraham Darby. We have an excellent opportunity for an inspirational and innovative Design & Technology/Engineering teacher to join the existing DT Team – the post is part-time (0.6 FTE). If you are passionate that pupils should access a rich DT curriculum from 11-18, meaningful enrichment and opportunities to think beyond the classroom – then this role is for you. This is a very strong and supportive team that currently offers Design & Technology, Product Design and Engineering that is supported by two Technicians. The department is well equipped with two multi-purpose workshops, CAD/CAM equipment, dedicated materials and prep rooms and a design studio. ICT access is available throughout the department with fixed PCs and portable laptops. All lessons take with the faculty and the technicians are available to give assistance with apparatus set up, materials preparation, CAM and support during practical lessons. We welcome applications from forward-thinking and creative colleagues who have a genuine passion for design, technology and engineering and would relish the opportunity to share their skills and expertise with our pupils. Ideally, we are looking for someone who wants to make their mark in helping take the department and the Academy to the next level.
