The successful candidate will teach Art across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to contribute to Key Stage 5 provision.
About the roleYou will play a key role in delivering an engaging and well-structured Art curriculum that develops creativity, technical skill and critical thinking. You will be expected to maintain high standards in the classroom while supporting students to make strong progress.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering high quality lessons that meet the needs of all learners
Creating a positive, structured and inclusive classroom environment
Assessing, monitoring and tracking student progress effectively
Using data to inform planning and improve outcomes
Contributing to curriculum development within the department
Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, effort and achievement
Working collaboratively with colleagues to strengthen teaching and learning
Contributing to enrichment activities and the wider life of the school
Person specificationThe successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have strong subject knowledge in Art
Demonstrate effective teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4 (A Level desirable)
Be an excellent classroom practitioner with consistently high expectations
Have strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
Be committed to inclusive practice and raising achievement for all learners
Be willing to contribute positively to the wider school community
