Location: The Bedford Sixth Form
Salary/Benefits: Salary is between £33,048 and £38,169 per annum (Pro-Rata) DOE and Qualifications, Teacher’s Pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.
Hours/Weeks: 18.5 hours per week
Contract Type: Fixed Term – Part Time – Fixed until 18 December 2026

About the role:
We are currently seeking a Teacher in Maths to join our Sixth Forms department at The Bedford College Group.
As a Teacher, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
Teaching & Student Achievement - Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that develop students’ knowledge, skills and understanding, while supporting achievement, retention and academic success.
Assessment & Progress Monitoring - Plan and assess learning effectively, provide timely feedback, maintain accurate records of progress, and produce student reports to support continuous improvement.
Curriculum Development & Enrichment - Contribute to curriculum development, organise enrichment activities such as trips, visits and guest speakers, and help enhance the overall Sixth Form student experience.
Student Engagement & College Representation - Motivate and inspire learners, participate in parents’ evenings and promotional events, and actively support the promotion of the Sixth Form and wider College.
Compliance, Collaboration & Professional Development - Support College-wide activities including exams and events, maintain health and safety standards, and promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion, and continuous professional development.
