Cheltenham Muscat is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Swim Teacher to join our growing aquatics team.
Based at Cheltenham Muscat, the successful candidate will deliver high-quality swimming lessons to children and young people across both the school curriculum and swimming academy programmes. Working with swimmers of varying ages and abilities, the Swim Teacher will help develop water confidence, swimming technique, and a lifelong enjoyment of the sport.
Reporting to the Head of PE at Cheltenham Muscat, with a dotted reporting line to the Head of Curriculum Swimming at Enrich ME, the Swim Teacher will deliver high-quality swimming lessons across both the school curriculum and swimming academy programmes. Working with swimmers of varying ages and abilities, the successful candidate will support the development of water confidence, technical skills and a lifelong enjoyment of swimming.

Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare and deliver swimming lessons
Explain and demonstrate swim techniques, correcting faults in technique where necessary, identifying ways to improve performance
Integration of Swim England programmed rewards schemes built into lessons
Ensure safety standards are followed, undertaking risk assessments, where necessary
Maintain records on attendance, performance and progress, evaluating sessions and providing feedback to key stakeholders
Supervision of the Swimming Assistants and Lifeguards on duty.
About You
Essential
Swim England Level 2 Swimming Teacher Qualification
Minimum of 3 years' experience teaching swimming within a school, private swim school, or professional academy environment
Excellent communication skills with fluency in spoken and written English
