Strong interpersonal and organisational skills are essential Main Purpose To provide high-quality technical support to the science department, ensuring the smooth and efficient preparation and distribution of apparatus and materials required for practical lessons and assessments. To maintain the safe storage of chemicals and apparatus, and to act as the health and safety representative for the science curriculum area. Responsibilities include Co-ordinate the preparation and distribution of apparatus to laboratories including Science club Assist teaching staff with demonstration lessons and practicals. Set up and test experiments before lessons and assessments. Carry out the annual audit of stock. Ensure the safe storage of chemicals and apparatus. Act as the health and safety representative for the science curriculum area Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous; however, full training will be provided for the successful candidate Salary £23,500 - £25,900 (depending on experience)(approx.)
