The ideal candidate will be able to deliver inspiring lessons, bring knowledge and experience to the curriculum, and have a desire to teach beyond the specification, believing every student can succeed. Furthermore, they will have an appreciation that the commitment to delivering outstanding educational outcomes goes beyond the classroom. All staff within the Trust need to have a commitment to professional development, an enthusiasm for teamwork and a passion for improvement. While a teaching qualification is desirable, we will consider applications from non- qualified graduates. Graduates looking to start a career in teaching at the Sixth Form College will be allocated a reduced timetable with comprehensive support and mentoring. Future opportunities to obtain a teaching qualification will be considered. ………………………………………… Economics department Economics is a large and successful department with a diverse, enthusiastic and supportive team. Collaboration is encouraged and teaching materials are shared centrally. Teachers follow a well structured and fully resourced syllabus. We aim to develop independent learning in students, provide transferable skills and enable adaptability with regard to learning and assessments. Students frequently praise the excellent resources in the department, clarity of teacher explanations, and the support provided by teachers.
