Lavington School is seeking to appoint a dynamic and forward thinking Head of Computer Science. As a member of staff within our Trust, you will contribute to a collaborative working environment and play a key role in supporting the learning and development of all pupils.
Where the candidate has the right experience we will be looking for a colleague to lead the subject area and inspire our pupils with a well planned and carefully sequenced curriculum. As a subject leader the successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the curriculum and support department lead in monitoring the quality and rigour of curriculum implementation.
In this role, your duties and responsibilities will include leading, developing and implementing the Computer Science curriculum. You will have the opportunity to work within a supportive team, facilitating and encouraging the learning experience for the students, providing them with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential. An important element of your role will be to assess formatively and summatively, recording and reporting on progress, monitoring progress against targets, giving advice for improvement in order to contribute towards raising standards. It is expected that you will use a wide repertoire of teaching and learning strategies to stimulate learning.
