The post holder will be subject to an enhanced DBS check We are looking for a Student Welfare Officer to join us as soon as possible. This is an exciting opportunity to join a committed team of specialists who aim to develop and maintain students’ curiosity, interest, and enjoyment of school with an emphasis on promoting a culture of educational excellence, within a caring and supportive Catholic environment. • assist the Directors of Upper and Lower School in monitoring academic achievement, behaviour and attitude to learning. • have high expectations for all students and demand high standards of performance, attitude and behaviour in line with the aims and aspirations of this Catholic school. • ensure that each student’s experience of their time at the college is a positive and a happy one. • contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school to ensure high standards of learning and teaching. The successful candidate will be able to evidence a good standard of numeracy, literacy and ICT skills, experience of working with young people between the ages of 11 and 16 and have an understanding of behaviour management strategies. Working hours for the post are 8am to 4pm, Monday to Thursday, and 8am to 3:30pm on Friday's however from time to time it may be necessary to work flexibly to effectively support college meetings and events, this is a term time plus 5 days post.
