We are seeking a caring, organised and highly proactive Student Services Officer to join our dedicated team. This is a rewarding and varied role at the heart of school life, providing vital support to learners, families and colleagues to ensure every young person is safe, supported and ready to succeed.

The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operation of our Student Services provision, acting as a key point of contact for learners who require support throughout the school day. You will manage resources and provision effectively, monitor and respond to first aid needs, maintain accurate records of incidents and concerns, and ensure follow-up actions are completed in a timely manner.

Working closely with the pastoral, safeguarding and administration teams, you will play an important role in coordinating support for learners and families, helping to remove barriers to attendance, engagement and achievement.

About You

We are seeking to appoint an empathetic, organised and highly effective Student Services Officer who is passionate about supporting young people and helping to remove barriers to learning. This varied and rewarding role combines responsibility for leading first aid provision across the academy with a broad student services and administrative function, ensuring that learners and families receive timely, professional and compassionate support.

The successful candidate will be calm, patient and able to work effectively under pressure, demonstrating our school values of compassion, integrity, altruism and resilience in their daily interactions with learners, families and colleagues.

You will possess excellent organisational, communication and administrative skills and will take lead responsibility for the coordination and management of first aid provision within the academy. A recognised First Aid qualification, or a willingness to undertake training, is essential.

As a key member of our Student Services team, you will support learners with a wide range of day-to-day needs, including wellbeing concerns, medical requirements, lost property, and general enquiries. You will work closely with pastoral and administrative colleagues to ensure that learners receive appropriate support and that parents and carers are kept informed when necessary.

The role also includes maintaining accurate records of first aid incidents, learner welfare concerns and related documentation. You will coordinate and monitor individual healthcare plans and risk assessments for learners with medical or mobility needs, ensuring that appropriate support and reasonable adjustments are in place. In addition, you will provide high-quality administrative support, contributing to the efficient running of student services and supporting wider academy systems and processes as required.
