Student Services Assistant

Salary: £26,818 p.a. pro rata. Full-time and part-time hours available. Term time. Permanent. Based across all three campuses. In this crucial role we are seeking to recruit a person with the drive to put students at the heart of everything they do. You will be in a student facing role, supporting students with their transport, finances, and wellbeing. You will combine your administrative skills and empathic nature to ensure that our students continue to benefit from the very best support. Shrewsbury College is Shropshire’s largest college. The college operates at three campuses in Shrewsbury. We deliver a broad range of vocational and higher-level courses to 2300 16–18-year-olds, 4000 adult students, 300 HE students and 950 apprentices at our London Road Campus. 2100 A-Level students are taught at our Welsh and English Bridge Campuses in the centre of Shrewsbury. The college was inspected in March 2025 and judged to be ‘Outstanding’, with a ‘Strong’ contribution to skills. The college was recognised as a top 10 employer by The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2026 and enjoys ‘outstanding’ financial health.
