Bloxham School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and motivated Sports and Conditioning Coach to join our thriving Sports Coaching Department. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for developing young athletes to play a key role in supporting students of all abilities to maximise their physical performance, build confidence and develop lifelong healthy habits.
Working as part of our ambitious sports programme, the successful candidate will deliver high-quality strength and conditioning coaching across the school, supporting students within core Physical Education lessons, our Talented Athlete Programme and wider co-curricular sport. They will work collaboratively with coaching staff to help students achieve their athletic potential while contributing to the outstanding sporting culture at Bloxham School.
Salary:
Bloxham coaching scale, £22,118 to £30,267 depending on experience
Working Arrangements:
40 hours per week

34 weeks term time only

About the Role:
The Sports and Conditioning Coach will deliver specialist strength and conditioning programmes that enhance athletic performance, support injury prevention and develop students' confidence in physical training across a range of sports.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering strength and conditioning coaching to students across the school.
Supporting the delivery of core Physical Education lessons.
Developing and delivering tailored programmes for students within the Talented Athlete Programme.
Supervising strength and conditioning sessions and the school gym, including some morning and evening sessions.
Assisting with gym inductions to ensure pupils use equipment safely and effectively.
Coaching at least one school sports team each term.
Supporting sporting events, open events and outreach activities with partner schools.
Working collaboratively with colleagues to promote student development and sporting excellence.
