If things haven’t worked out in school, it can start to feel like you’re the problem. We see it differently. At New Meaning Training (NMT), we work with young people who haven’t thrived in mainstream education. Some come in with low confidence. Some feel anxious. Some have additional needs like autism, ADHD or SEMH. Most have had experiences that made learning feel difficult, frustrating, or pointless. That doesn’t mean they can’t move forward. This is the place where they get another go — with the right support around them. We’re looking for a Teaching Assistant with an interest in sport who wants to work alongside tutors to help young people re-engage. You’ll be part of a small, consistent team, supporting sessions that use movement, physical activity and practical learning to build confidence, teamwork and routine.
This role isn’t about being the loudest voice or running everything perfectly. It’s about showing up consistently, building trust, and helping young people take small steps forward — even on the days it doesn’t feel easy.
