In Toto Ed London is part of a group of registered Independent Special Schools and Alternative Provision settings, supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and mental health (MH) needs. We provide a structured, supportive and nurturing environment where students are encouraged to build confidence, develop resilience and re-engage with learning.
We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Sports Teaching Assistant who can support students through physical activity, act as a positive role model and go above and beyond to support their development.
The Role
As a Sports Teaching Assistant, you will support students through structured sports and physical activity programmes, helping them to develop confidence, teamwork and emotional regulation. You will work closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to support student progress both in and out of lessons.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working with young people, building relationships and using sport as a tool for engagement and development.
Key Responsibilities
Planning and Delivering Programmes
Support students through structured sports and physical activity sessions
Plan and deliver outcome-focused sports programmes
Support students during periods of dysregulation and promote emotional regulation
Work closely with teaching staff and SENCO to monitor and support student progress
Assist in sports lessons and other subject areas when required
Develop sporting opportunities within the school and local community
Act as a consistent and positive role model for students
Contribute to enrichment programmes and extracurricular activities
