Cranleigh School, a leading co-educational boarding and day school, is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Sports Graduate Assistant to join our ambitious sports department from mid August 2026. This is a unique opportunity to work across both Cranleigh Senior (13–18) and Cranleigh Prep (3–13), contributing to a program renowned for both national excellence and inclusive participation.
The Role
This is a varied and rewarding residential position designed for graduates looking to gain comprehensive experience in a high-performing educational environment. You will:
Coach & Officiate: Lead sessions and manage teams in at least two core sports (Hockey, Rugby, Football, Cricket, Netball, or Tennis).
Support Academics: Assist in your degree specialism, with opportunities for team-teaching and classroom support.
Pastoral Care: Act as a Tutor, deliver PSHE content, and support the vibrant boarding community through weekly evening duties.
Co-Curricular: Assist with outdoor education, house competitions, and the wider activity programme.
About You
We are looking for a proactive team player who will act as role models for our pupils.
Essential: Proficiency in two core sports, experience working with young people, and excellent communication skills.
Desirable: A 2:1 degree (or above) in a relevant subject and experience across Prep and Senior age groups.
Mindset: A commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of pupils within a boarding context.
