Millfield School is seeking an organised, detail-focused and proactive individual to join our Sport department as a Sports Administrator (Operations).
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of one of the UK’s leading school sports programmes, providing comprehensive administrative support across a wide range of systems, processes and activities.
The Role
You will support the effective coordination and delivery of sport at Millfield, working across multiple systems and processes to ensure the smooth running of departmental operations. This will include:
Managing sport systems and data, including SOCS and departmental reporting
Supporting the administration of student reports and Individual Development Plans (IDPs)
Coordinating key processes such as scholarship reviews and multi-sport reporting
Supporting financial administration, including timesheets and student billing
Assisting with planning and logistics for sports activities, including facilities and accommodation
Coordinating deadlines and supporting operational planning across the department
Supporting awards processes, including Sports Colours
Providing general administrative support to ensure efficient day-to-day operations
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Confident working with data and administrative systems
Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
A clear and professional communicator
Proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team
Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
An interest in sport and education would be advantageous.
Working Pattern and Salary
18 hours per week
Term time plus 4 weeks
£13.60 per hour equating to approximately £10,278.90 per annum (inclusive of holiday pay). The final salary may vary slightly depending on how the 18 hours are distributed across the week
