Speech & Language Therapist

Are you an experienced clinician excited to work during times of transformative change? We’re looking for an experienced practitioner to join us at our school based in Ramsbottom, as our Specialist Speech and Language Therapist. Based at Rossendale School and the post holder will progress the SaLT specific therapeutic services for our young people who have a diagnosis of autism. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary well-being and therapeutic services team which is required to meet the needs of the children and young people. The team includes Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapists, CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Worker, Creative Therapists and School Counsellor. Someone with a holistic and integrated approach to education and clinical services would be perfect for this role. You will also contribute to staff training, consultation and reflective practice. About the school: Rossendale School provides well rounded education for young people aged between 7 and 18 years old with autism and associated difficulties in social and emotional mental health, who can access an academic curriculum. Our well established multi-disciplinary team maintain a nurturing and supportive environment where our young people can flourish. Due to the location of the school a driving licence is required. The Post Holder will work collaboratively to deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for our young people.
