Job Description:
As a Specialist SEND ASD Teacher, you will support and teach children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) within the Primary Range. You will work closely with other staff members to create an inclusive learning environment tailored to meet individual needs, helping each child reach their full potential.
Skills and Qualifications:
- No previous teaching experience required; suitable for newly qualified teachers or those new to this specialist area.
- A relevant degree or qualification in Primary Education or Childhood Education.
- Understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder and strategies for supporting pupils with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).
- Ability to plan engaging lessons appropriate for young learners at Key Stage 1 level.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
- Patience, empathy, and adaptability when working with children who have diverse learning needs.
