Special Needs Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our new team at Jasmine Grove School, Bolsover. Working closely with a small group of pupils (maximum class size of four) who have significant needs, including: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Global Developmental Delay Low Cognitive Function The successful candidate will have the ability to:- Provide 1:1 support and also small group support tailored to individual Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). Assist with differentiated learning activities designed to meet the pupils' cognitive, social, and emotional needs. Implement strategies to support communication, sensory processing, and emotional regulation for pupils with autism and developmental delays. Support the creation of a structured, predictable, and low-stimulus classroom environment conducive to learning. Work closely with the class teacher and therapists to deliver integrated support, including speech, occupational, and behavioural therapies. Monitor and document progress and behaviours, contributing to assessments and reviews of EHCPs. Promote positive interactions and social engagement among pupils.
