Social Studies Teacher

Unity Concord International School is seeking a knowledgeable and engaging Grade 9 Social Studies Teacher to teach World Geography. The successful candidate will guide students in exploring the physical and human geography of major world regions while developing geographic inquiry, critical thinking, and global awareness. Students investigate how geography influences culture, population, economics, politics, and global relationships through map analysis, data interpretation, and the study of contemporary global issues. This role works collaboratively with the Secondary Social Studies Department to deliver high-quality instruction, implement the curriculum effectively, and support student achievement in alignment with the school's mission and strategic goals. Qualifications: Required: Bachelor’s degree in social studies, education, or a related field Recognised teaching licence, credential, or certification from the country of training (e.g., PGCE, QTS, state certification) Minimum of two years of full-time classroom teaching experience at the middle/high school level (international experience preferred) Strong subject knowledge in geography Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Eligibility to obtain a work permit and visa in Thailand Salary & Benefits: Salary based on qualifications, certification, and years of experience Yearly renewable contract Health benefits (school contributes 50% of SSO government insurance)
