We are currently seeking a dedicated Grade 6 Homeroom Teacher to join our dynamic team. Position: Senior Primary Homeroom Teacher Location: VISS Tilal Campus Curriculum: Australian Curriculum with IB PYP framework Education Stage: Senior Primary / Transition to Middle School Position Type: Full-time Teacher Job Description: The successful applicant will teach either Grade 5 or Grade 6. In Grade 5, the teacher will guide students through the final year of primary school, including active involvement in the PYP Exhibition, the culminating experience of the programme. This position would suit an educator with strong PYP experience, particularly someone with a sound understanding of and engagement in the PYP Exhibition process. Grade 6 is a key transitional year between primary and middle school. While the position is located within the middle school, it operates using a primary homeroom model, with students benefiting from access to middle school facilities, programmes and specialist teaching. The role plays an important part in preparing students for secondary learning by developing independence, organisation and readiness for the next phase of their education. This position would suit an educator with strong pedagogical knowledge and a clear understanding of inquiry-based learning.
