The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Curriculum Manager to provide strong leadership across a designated Programme Area. This role is central to ensuring high‑quality teaching, learning and assessment, effective curriculum planning and the smooth operational running of courses. You will lead curriculum development, oversee student progress and behaviour, manage staff performance and contribute to strategic improvements across the Directorate. The role also includes teaching responsibilities, deputising for the Group Curriculum Director when required, and playing an active role in safeguarding and quality assurance across the College.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will lead the development of curriculum content, delivery models and innovative teaching approaches, ensuring that students receive a high‑quality learning experience. You will oversee student progress, behaviour and achievement, and ensure that assessment, accreditation, exams and internal verification processes are robust and well‑managed. You will manage the day‑to‑day organisation of courses, support staffing arrangements, and contribute to recruitment, admissions, enrolment and induction processes. The role involves liaising with colleagues, partner organisations and external agencies, contributing to marketing and promotion, and producing reports for internal and external audiences. You will teach on appropriate courses, support the management of the Programme’s cost centre, authorise purchases within budget and contribute to income‑generating initiatives. You will also support staff recruitment, induction, performance management and development, while ensuring accurate information management, data reporting and contribution to the annual Self‑Assessment Report.
