Are you passionate about making a difference for children with special educational needs? Thorntree Primary School is seeking a dedicated and experienced SENDCo to join our supportive, committed and enthusiastic team.
About the Role:
We are seeking to appoint an experienced teacher for the role of SENDCo, someone who has the required SEN experience, and/or the appropriate qualifications, to join our team. The successful applicant will be responsible for leading and developing the SEND provision for 3 days per week and will have a key role in ensuring our pupils with SEND receive the support they need to thrive.

The ideal candidate will:
Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) & NASENCO qualification
Have previous experience and exceptional understanding of teaching in the primary phase
Be an exemplary practitioner with a proven record of expertise in supporting children with special educational needs.
Have an excellent understanding of the SEN code of practice & White Paper
Have experience of writing EHCP and funding applications
Have a commitment to inclusive education and the highest standards for all pupils
Have both an excellent understanding of pupil progress and a be open to new approaches to learning and teaching
Have strong organisational and communication skills
Have experience of line managing LSA’s
Be an excellent team player
