About this role

We are seeking to appoint a SENDCo and Head of Additional Learning Support (a director-level position), as the current postholder moves on to a new role in neurodiversity within a different sector. This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative and accomplished teacher with management experience to lead and manage the Additional Learning Support Department at BHASVIC and to join a highly experienced and affiliative Curriculum and Quality Team (CQT) with responsibility for SEND and inclusion within the curriculum. Salary: £64,404 to £67,946 per annum, depending upon experience (based on the Teachers’ Pay Scale at Leadership Grade 1, spine points 4–6). NB: The annual pay rise for the academic year 2026/7 is pending. You will also automatically become a member of the Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS). Hours: Full-time, permanent.
