At Chesterfield College, we are enhancing the transition support that we provide to students who have disabilities.
We are looking for someone who can apply their understanding of the SEND Code of Practice, barriers to learning, Further Education and careers. The successful candidate will play a key role in giving our students the best start, and then support them to progress towards positive opportunities beyond college.
Other key duties include:
· Carrying out school engagement, personalised transition planning, and coordination
· Contributing to the EHCP consultation process
· Engaging with students, families, and relevant stakeholders, and being a key point of contact for those with EHCPs prior to starting college.
· Having a caseload of EHCP students
· Collaborate with the SEND and Quality Teams regarding emerging staff training needs
· Line management of Specialist Learning Support Assistants.
