SEND Teacher – Bromsgrove B60 4AL £33,696 -£44, 304 | Full Time (40 hours/week) Outstanding Ofsted Rating Purpose of the Role To plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching that meets the diverse needs of pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours. About New Ways College New Ways is an Outstanding Independent SEN School that provides education to KS4 and KS5 students We cater to students aged 11-19 with special educational needs, primarily related to Autism. Our school provides a safe, low-sensory environment alongside an ambitious curriculum that includes a range of GCSEs and enrichment opportunities. We are committed to ensuring that all students achieve the best possible outcomes and are fully prepared for their transition into further education, employment, training, and adulthood. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, evidence-informed lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils, including those with SEND and trauma histories. Use assessment data to monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly. Promote pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development through trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches. Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning, consistent with the school’s behaviour policy and Staff Code of Conduct. Collaborate with teaching assistants and specialist staff to provide effective support Requirements Proven experience teaching pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviour Strong understanding of curriculum, assessment, and behaviour management in special education settings. QTS/QTLS qualification Commitment to professional conduct, safeguarding, and the Staff Code of Conduct.
