About this role

Due to continued development and investment in our Additional Learning Support offer, as well as exciting curriculum changes, we are seeking to add to a team of experienced, positive and passionate individuals, who will provide high quality and innovative support to learners with a Special Educational Need or Disability (SEND) With a good general education to at least level 3 and Maths and English to least at level 2, you will also possess at a minimum, a Level 2 Learning Support qualification, or be willing to achieve one in a timely manner. Though further training will be given, you will already have the knowledge, experience and understanding of specific issues relevant to learners with SEN needs or learning difficulties/disabilities. As part of this, you will understand the potential barriers to learning and the strategies to enable learners to overcome them. The Support Practitioners will deliver a high quality and effective support provision to individuals or small groups across the College, ensuring a consistently outstanding learning experience. They will place and deliver relevant, supportive sessions, helping students to understand and record their work whilst considering their specific needs to ensure their holistic health and wellbeing.
