About this role

Samuel Ward Academy Teaching Assistant Contract: Part-time, permanent (32.5hours per week, 38 weeks per year) Salary: Grade 3 SP 4-6 (fte £25,185 - £25,989 / Actual £18,497 - £19,088 per annum) Start date: September 2026 Samuel Ward Academy is seeking to appoint a committed Teaching Assistant to support learning in the classroom, and in small group interventions within our brand new SEND Hub ‘The Gallery’. Applicants would be required to have achieved at least a 4 grade in GCSE Maths and English, or equivalent, and have previous experience of working with children with additional needs, ideally in a secondary school setting.
