SEND Admissions and Placement Coordinator

At Octavia House Schools, we have a passionate team delivering high quality trauma-centred therapeutic education, supporting and building relationships with pupils who have adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and complex social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, as well as other associated special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Octavia House Schools have been leading the way in therapeutic education since 2012. Recent Independent School Inspectorate's routine and material change inspections of our London and Essex schools were successful and highlighted a rare significant strength. This is in addition to our previous Outstanding Ofsted reports which demonstrate the strength of our provision across all sites and the success of our specialist therapeutic approach. As our organisation continues to grow, we are looking for an organised and compassionate SEND Admissions & Placement Coordinator to join our Head Office team from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in ensuring that children and young people are placed into the right therapeutic educational provision at the right time, helping to transform outcomes for pupils with complex needs. Working closely with our Head of Referrals, local authorities, families and school leaders, you will coordinate the full admissions journey from initial referral through to placement. You will ensure every referral is managed efficiently, professionally and with the best interests of the child at the heart of every decision, whilst supporting the continued growth of our specialist schools. This is a varied and rewarding role, ideal for someone with experience in SEND, education or children's services who enjoys building relationships, coordinating complex processes and making a genuine difference to the lives of children and young people.
