Role Overview:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other staff to support students with special educational needs. Your role will involve assisting in classroom activities, helping individual or small groups of students, and contributing to creating an inclusive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of our pupils.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A genuine interest in working with children and young people with special educational needs
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and work as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and understanding towards learners’ individual challenges
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills appropriate for supporting secondary education students
- Willingness to learn new strategies for supporting SEN pupils
