This is chance to be part of the brand-new SEND Resource Base opening at West Bromwich Collegiate Academy supporting students with ASC. The facility will open in September 2026 in an Annex based at Shireland CBSO Academy whilst we wait for completion of the new state of the art building.
West Bromwich Collegiate Academy is an oversubscribed Secondary School in the Black Country. The Academy opened its doors in September 2019 with 175 students and has continued to grow each year. It is now at full capacity with 805 students on roll.

The Teacher of the ASC Resource Base will provide high‑quality, specialist teaching and pastoral support for pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) who are educated within the Academy’s specialist resource provision while remaining part of a mainstream secondary school community. We want to ensure that our pupils thrive here, developing socially, emotionally and academically. Whilst working closely with the SENDCo and the Trust Director of SEND you will have the opportunity to shape the strategic direction of the Resource Base and provide the very best educational experience for our young people.
The post holder will be responsible for delivering a personalised, outcomes‑driven curriculum aligned to pupils’ EHCPs, supporting inclusion into mainstream lessons where appropriate, and ensuring pupils make strong academic, social and emotional progress.
This role will develop into working across our trust to support development of other resource bases.
