About the Role
As a Teacher at Bright Fields School, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning for pupils with SEND, ensuring strong progress against EHCP outcomes and curriculum targets.
You will create a safe, nurturing and aspirational classroom environment, while leading the day-to-day work of Teaching Assistants and support staff assigned to your class. This is a rewarding role where you will make a genuine difference to pupils’ academic progress, wellbeing, independence and confidence.
Our key aim is to deliver exceptional education and support for children and young people with ASD and other categories of Special Educational Need, through personalised, individualised and inclusive practice.
Key Responsibilities Teaching, Learning and Curriculum
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet pupils’ academic, social and emotional needs
Teach across relevant curriculum areas, adapting content, communication, pacing and resources
Create structured, predictable routines that support regulation and readiness to learn
EHCPs and SEND Planning
Use EHCPs, baseline assessments, therapy reports and individual plans to set clear targets
Ensure teaching and interventions contribute directly to EHCP outcomes
Contribute to annual reviews and EHCP progress reporting
Assessment and Reporting
Assess learning using appropriate and individualised methods
Maintain accurate records of progress, behaviour and wellbeing
