About this role
We are seeking a compassionate, resilient and highly relational practitioner to join our new SEMH Hub provision at St Charles Catholic Sixth Form College.
This is a specialist role supporting students with significant social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, many of whom may have experienced disrupted education, anxiety-based non-attendance, trauma, or barriers to engaging consistently in learning.
The successful candidate will play a key role in helping vulnerable young people successfully re-engage with education, develop confidence and emotional regulation, and transition sustainably back into full-time college life.
The role combines elements of a Learning Support Assistant role, pastoral support, mentoring, family liaison and therapeutic engagement. The successful candidate will work closely with students, families, external agencies and college staff to build trusting relationships and coordinated support around each learner.
The SEMH Hub forms part of the wider Learning Support Department whilst operating as a discrete specialist provision within the College.
