About this role

Self Employed Musical Theatre Singing Teacher We're looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and inspiring teacher with a genuine passion for working with young singers, specialising in Musical Theatre. We are open to applications from highly qualified and experienced singing teachers who will work with the department to grow the current vocal provision. We are looking for someone who has: Excellent vocal technique Experience teaching singing to children and young people aged 8 to 18 on a 1:1 basis and in small groups An understanding of children’s vocal development and technique ensuring safeguarding of vocal health. A knowledge of musical theatre repertoire A wide range of teaching techniques and a willingness to look beyond traditional repertoire. Experience of preparing students for graded music exams through a variety of exam boards including ABRSM and Trinity. An ability to teach pop music would be advantageous Piano/keyboard skills (helpful but not essential) The role is part-time and would operate on a self-employed basis. The pay rate is £40 per hour. Hours will be dependent on student numbers. Currently, 2-3 days of teaching per week is required, with the potential for more.
