Role Introduction
We are looking for a well-qualified teacher to teach Secondary Design and Technology/STEM throughout our Koh Samui based school. It is a unique opportunity to develop your skills in one of Thailand's most iconic islands, while contributing to a unique, result-driven, pedagogic approach.
Main Duties
Contribute widely to the school through, for example, enrichment activities, developing impactful teaching methods and curriculum, interventions to support individuals or groups of students, administering internal examinations or outreach activities;
Teach across the age and ability-range, challenging the most able and supporting those who find the subject challenging;
Seek to develop your own professional practice and development in conjunction with our leadership team;
Follow the school’s assessment and reporting policies, teacher’s manual, and attend parents’ meetings as required;
Contribute to the co-curricular life of the school as agreed with our leadership team;
Be committed to the safeguarding of all young people;
Tutor various sized groups of pupils, taking an interest in their well-being and academic progress;
Assist on a regular basis in various initiatives such as educational development or pastoral care, supporting the school and getting to know students.
The Ideal Candidate
You will be a reflective classroom teacher who:
has a good honours degree (2:1 or above) and/or a further degree in a directly-related subject;
is passionate about their subject and can demonstrate the subject knowledge required to deliver engaging lessons across the age and ability range of students at PBISS;
shares PBISS holistic vision of education and is excited to contribute to the co-curricular and pastoral aspects of school life;
has strong interpersonal skills and can build relationships and collaborate with a wide range of people;
is committed to their continuous professional development;
