Secondary SENCO – August 2026
Kings’ School Nad Al Sheba is seeking an outstanding Secondary SENCO to join our well-established Inclusion Team from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and ambitious leader to play a key role in further developing our already strong culture of inclusion within a premium British international school.
The successful candidate will lead and coordinate SEND provision across the secondary phase, ensuring that all students are supported to achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
You will work closely with senior leaders, teachers, and support staff to embed high-quality inclusive practice across the school
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage SEND provision across the secondary phase, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and outcomes
Oversee identification, assessment, and provision for students with additional needs
Monitor and evaluate the impact of interventions and student progress
Support and coach teachers to deliver adaptive, inclusive classroom practice
Contribute to the development of alternative and personalised pathways where appropriate
Work in partnership with parents, external agencies, and specialists
Promote and uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and student wellbeing
Contribute to whole-school inclusion priorities and wider school life
The ideal candidate will:
Hold a relevant Bachelor’s degree and QTS/PGCE (or equivalent)
Hold the NPQ SEN or NASENCO qualification (or equivalent)
Have significant experience in SEND/Inclusion, with evidence of impact
Demonstrate strong knowledge of inclusive pedagogy and intervention strategies
Have experience of working within high-performing or international school settings (desirable)
Be an excellent communicator, able to build strong relationships with staff, students, and parents
Be committed to continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration
Show a genuine passion for inclusive education and student
