About this role

DBIS seeks to appoint an enthusiastic, qualified and successful Secondary School Biology teacher who is willing to commit to working in a stimulating and dynamic international educational environment. This is an exciting time to join DBIS as the Secondary phase and Science department are expanding, offering opportunities for growth and development within the school. To be considered, it is essential to have: A bachelor's (or equivalent) degree in Biology or a closely related field; A relevant postgraduate teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS); Experience teaching (I)GCSE, Key Stage 3 classes and A Level Biology to a high quality (applications from IB Biology teachers will also be accepted). It is desirable to have: A master's or postgraduate qualification in a related subject; Experience working with EAL pupils (English as an Additional Language); Experience or interest in being an examiner for (I)GCSE and/or A Level. New teachers are offered a one-year contract and a competitive compensation package, with a gratuity of 18.75%, an additional monthly cash allowance, remuneration of school fees for one child and full medical and dental insurance for the employee.
