Job DescriptionWe are seeking a passionate and experienced English Teacher to join our secondary team in August 2026. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and high-quality English lessons, supporting students in developing strong literacy, communication, and critical thinking skills. The role requires a teacher who can create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment while maintaining high expectations for all learners. Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver engaging and well-structured English lessons for secondary students Develop lesson plans aligned with the British curriculum framework and school expectations Create a classroom environment that promotes confidence, creativity, and academic excellence Assess, record, and report on student progress in line with school policies Provide constructive feedback to support student development and achievement Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of students of all abilities Contribute to extra-curricular activities and school events Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching standards Communicate effectively with parents and the wider school community Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in English or a related subject, with PGCE / PGDE or equivalent teaching qualification Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a British curriculum school Proven experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 (secondary level) Strong understanding of UK curriculum standards and assessment practices A proven track record of delivering outstanding teaching and learning Ability to demonstrate high-quality classroom practice and student engagement Native-level English proficiency Skills and CompetenciesCreative and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning Strong classroom management and organisational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to inspire and motivate students Commitment to continuous professional development and school improvement Website
