About this role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Design and Technology Teacher to inspire students and develop their creativity, problem-solving skills, and technical knowledge. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons across various areas of Design and Technology, encouraging students to design, create, evaluate, and innovate through practical and theoretical learning experiences.
Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Design and Technology lessons in line with the school's curriculum.
Teach practical and theoretical aspects of design, engineering, product development, and manufacturing processes.
Develop students' creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Maintain a safe and organized workshop/classroom environment.
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress and achievement.
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Integrate technology and digital design tools into teaching and learning.
Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student success.
RequirementsBachelor's degree in Design and Technology, Engineering, Industrial Design, Education, or a related field.
Teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent).
Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international school setting.
Strong knowledge of Design and Technology curricula.
Experience with CAD software, product design, resistant materials, electronics, or engineering concepts is desirable.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
Preferred SkillsExperience teaching IGCSE, GCSE, IB, or equivalent curricula.
Knowledge of 3D printing, robotics, coding, and digital fabrication.
Ability to lead design projects and innovation initiatives.
