About this role

Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and experienced Secondary Chemistry Teacher to join our dynamic international faculty on the beautiful island of Koh Samui, Thailand. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and rigorous IGCSE and A-Level Chemistry courses, fostering a positive learning environment, and contributing to the wider school community. Key Responsibilities: Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality Chemistry lessons in line with Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level curriculum standards. Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students. Design engaging practical and laboratory activities that support theoretical learning. Prepare students for external examinations, ensuring strong academic outcomes. Monitor, evaluate, and report on student progress regularly. Provide academic guidance, support, and pastoral care to students. Collaborate with science department colleagues and other teaching staff. Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, extracurricular activities, and school trips. Contribute to curriculum development and continuous departmental improvement. Maintain high professional and ethical standards. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Chemistry or a related field. A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent). Experience teaching IGCSE and A-Level Chemistry (or equivalent curricula). Knowledge of Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) standards. Experience working in international schools or multicultural environments is highly desirable. Essential: laboratory safety and classroom management skills.
