About this role
The Newton Group of Schools is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Secondary Art Teacher to join our school from August 2026.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and creative Art lessons across the Secondary School, following the British Curriculum and inspiring students to develop their artistic skills, creativity and individual expression.
The successful candidate will:
Plan and deliver high-quality Art lessons across the Secondary age range
Teach in line with the British Curriculum, including IGCSE where applicable
Develop students’ practical skills across a range of artistic techniques, materials and media
Support students in developing portfolios and preparing for assessments and examinations
Monitor and assess student progress and provide effective feedback
Create a stimulating and well-organised Art classroom environment
Contribute to exhibitions, displays, school events and the wider life of the school
Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning
Requirements:
Minimum 4 years’ experience teaching Art at Secondary level
Recognised teaching qualification
Strong knowledge and experience of the British Curriculum
Experience teaching IGCSE Art is highly desirable
Experience in a British or international school setting
Strong classroom management, communication and organisational skills
A genuine passion for Art and creative education
