Hours: Full Time and part time applications accepted, term time only (38 weeks per year)
We are currently seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Science Technician to support the smooth running of science teaching at New College Pontefract.
You will have the opportunity to work as part of a small team, across all sciences, in a role which will allow you to showcase your attention to detail, organisational skills and adaptability. You will help provide our students with the opportunity to deepen their learning and develop their scientific interest and practical skills. The role will involve preparing equipment and laboratories for practical classes, assisting with demonstrations and maintaining equipment and resources.
You will possess previous experience in a scientific, technical or similar environment (this may include college, lab work, course work or work experience), along with a good general standard of education, including a minimum of GCSE Science grade C or equivalent, in addition to Maths and English. This role would suit candidates at different stages in their career, including college leavers with a passion for science, as well as those with relevant experience looking to further their career.
