Hampton Bridge School is a specialist school for students pupils aged 6 – 19, set on the edge of Northampton city centre.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Science Lead Teacher who is open to learning a modern approach to teaching pupils with social, emotional, mental health needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative, passionate Science practitioner who would like to work within a progressive and innovative curriculum.
The Science Lead will teach students in the third phase of our curriculum, Community Ready, including those on accredited pathways so must be able to deliver Science up to GCSE level as a minimum.
They will also have oversight over the Science curriculum for the whole school, they will provide subject specific plans, resources and quality assurance.
A key part of their role will be supporting colleagues to deliver Science through our project based curriculum, Enterprise Learning.
There are excellent opportunities for career development, cross group networking and to be part of our research focused work within this role. You will also be part of establishing the Spaghetti Bridge curriculum at our brand new school.
Candidates will:
Hold an appropriate qualification to deliver Science to GCSE level as a minimum
Be passionate about Science and the possibilities of teaching this through a creative, dynamic, project based curriculum
Have experience of middle leadership/subject leadership
Be an team player, who is able to coach and model excellent teaching practice to others
