Contract Type: Temporary / Substitute (May 25 – June 5, with possibility of extension through the end of the school year)
Position SummaryWe are seeking a collaborative, responsive, and student-centered Math Support Specialist (Substitute) to provide continuity of support during a temporary absence. This role will focus primarily on mathematics support across divisions, delivering targeted math instruction for advanced learners in Elementary, Middle, and High School.
The specialist will work closely with teachers, and school teams to ensure students receive consistent, high-quality math support that promotes independence, agency, and confidence in learning. This role requires strong English proficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Math Instruction & Academic SupportPlan and deliver targeted math instruction for advanced learners across Elementary, Middle, and High School
Provide scaffolds and strategies that promote conceptual understanding and independence
Support implementation of accommodations and modifications as needed
Collaboration & Co-TeachingMeet and coordinate support with the Learning Support Coordinator.
Participate in team meetings as needed to ensure continuity of support
Observation, Data Collection & DocumentationCollect and organize relevant data on student performance, engagement, and progress
Maintain clear and structured documentation to ensure a smooth transition back to the returning case manager
Transition & Continuity of SupportSupport continuity of learning and services across divisions during the substitute period
Ensure consistency in routines, expectations, and support strategies.
