School Staff Instructor (Combined Cadet Force)

Part time School Staff Instructor (Combined Cadet Force) working 2 days a week during term time starting in September 2026. During term time, the post holder should expect greater flexibility in working hours, including later finishes where required, to support: Early evening CCF activities and training School events, Open Days, performances and functions The role also includes occassional weekends and potentially school holidays for CCF related activities and events (e.g. Skill at Arms, Swift Bugle, Rifles Cup, CCF camps as organised by the Army) The School Staff Instructor plays a pivotal role in the leadership, administration and delivery of the Combined Cadet Force while also contributing significantly to the safe, efficient and welcoming operation of the wider school site. The Combined Cadet Force is a long established and highly successful part of school life at Reddam House. Participation is expected for all pupils in Years 9 and 10, with strong continuation into the Sixth Form. The contingent has an outstanding reputation, having won the Rifles Cup twice in the last five years, produced two Lord Lieutenant’s Cadets representing Berkshire, and regularly organised summer camps, adventurous training and national competitions. The school benefits from exceptional facilities including a dedicated CCF building, indoor and outdoor shooting ranges and extensive grounds suitable for fieldcraft and leadership training. The post holder will support the Contingent Commander and CFAV team in delivering a high quality, compliant and ambitious CCF programme in line with Ministry of Defence regulations, while also providing day to day oversight of site security, visitor management, logistics and maintenance support.
